Info
Situated on the edge of the Hudson River in Tribeca, 450 Washington was reclad in a warm limestone plaster and new brushed carbon finish windows, reinvigorating the site. The various forms of the building are stitched together with a grid that peels away as the building rises, taking advantage of the views of the Hudson River. A central courtyard breaks apart the block, providing a space of refuge. A cantilevered canopy brings guests from the street through a new vegetated courtyard to the double height lobby. On the 12th floor, a rooftop terrace harnesses the impressive outdoor space and water views in the heart of Manhattan.
